Parry Sound Town Council Budget Meeting
On Tuesday, December 8th, I attended the Special Open Parry Sound Town Council Meeting which included discussion on the 2016 Budget Overview.  Our Town Director of Finance, Mr. Trevor Pinn, provided an excellent presentation.  We were provided with an analysis of statistical information and breakdown of how we will cover our spending in 2016.  For complete information on the 2016 Budget, please go to http://www.parrysound.ca/en/inside-town-hall/Annual-Budget.asp.

Parry Sound Industrial Park Board Meeting
On Thursday, December 10th, along with Councillor Paul Borneman I attended the Parry Sound Area Industrial Park Board Meeting.  We are on a good, steady track.  We talked about the need for efficient, high speed Internet to meet the ever increasing reliance on the web to attract more industry.  The Site Certification Program continues to be a promising marketing tool for the Park!

West Parry Sound Health Centre Christmas and Long Service Awards Evening
On Saturday, December 12, my wife and I attended the West Parry Sound Health Centre Annual Christmas Party and Long Service Awards Presentation at the Bobby Orr Community Centre.  Congratulations to all the recipients from having served from five to forty years of continual service at the hospital.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
I am happy to take this opportunity to wish the Mayor, fellow Councillors, Town of Parry Sound staff and the people of Parry Sound a very Merry Christmas.  I also extend best wishes for health and happiness in the New Year of 2016.
