On Tuesday evening, October 11th, I participated in the Parry Sound All Candidates Meeting upstairs at the Bobby Orr Community Centre. It was sponsored by Sid Steiner, Broker Re/Max Parry Sound-Muskoka Realty Ltd. It was exciting to witness such a huge turnout and an opportunity for all candidates to discuss their platforms and answer questions. Thank you to Sid Steiner, also Jim Hanna, the evening’s moderator, Town staff and organizers and to all those who came out for the evening.
Parry Sound Area Industrial Park Board Meeting
On Thursday, October 13th, I attended the Parry Sound Area Industrial Park Board Meeting, along with Councillors Borneman and Keith. It was a quick meeting accepting August and September financial statements and our Draft Audited Financial Statements for the year ended December 31, 2017.
Rogers Hometown Hockey in Parry Sound
On Saturday and Sunday of this past weekend, (October 13th and 14th) it was indeed a pleasure and wonderful opportunity for Parry Sound to host Rogers Hometown Hockey! My wife and I went down both Saturday and Sunday afternoon and it was an honour to take part in the presentation and thank you from Rogers Hometown Hockey! It was so great to witness such terrific community spirit as the turnout was overwhelming. This has been a great way to put Parry Sound on the map! Thanks to all those who helped out, to our staff members involved with the organization, to Rogers Hometown Hockey and all the people who came out to the event!
Belvedere Heights AGM (Annual General Meeting)
A reminder that this Thursday evening, Belvedere Heights will be holding its Annual General Meeting at 6:00PM in the Fireside Café, Belvedere Heights in Parry Sound. The public is welcome to attend. This is your opportunity to learn about the direction Belvedere Heights is heading, our vision and strategic plan!
