Councillor McCann Meeting Report (September 4, 2018)

Belvedere Heights Board of Management Monthly Meeting
On Wednesday, August 22, 2018 with Councillor Borneman I attended the Belvedere Heights Board of Management Meeting.  There was more review and discussion on strategic planning.  The Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, represented by 3 inspectors were onsite August 7th to the 17th to complete a Resident Quality Inspection (RQI).  This is routine and we expect a report within weeks.

Friends of Belvedere
I would like to take a moment once again to remind the public that the Friends of Belvedere have special receptacle bins, which are clearly marked, at various transfer stations throughout the area including Parry Sound, Seguin and McKellar.  Other locations include the various condominium buildings in Parry Sound and the Parry Sound Area Municipal Airport.  Your donated beer cans and bottles, liquor glass and plastic bottles and aluminum pop cans are gratefully accepted at any of these locations.  Funds raised go to support seniors throughout the area as well as residents at Belvedere.  The Friends of Belvedere in turn use the funds to buy various necessities and often the extras not covered in the levy.

You'll recall that we just unveiled a new, secure, receptacle bin at the Brook's Road Transfer Station in Seguin Township in August.  The Friends of Belvedere extend a very sincere and warm thank you to Kropf Industrial and Seguin Township for making this happen.  We expect additional secure bins to be placed at our other locations.  The Friends of Belvedere thank all the townships for their wonderful cooperation in making this a most successful fundraiser.
