Councillor McCann Meeting Report (March 17, 2020)

Parry Sound Public Library Board Meeting
Yesterday, Monday, March 16th, with Councillor Backman, I attended an emergency meeting of the board of the Parry Sound Public Library.  In light of coronavirus (Covid-19) concerns the Board has decided to close the library until such a time that is appropriate to re-open.  Contact by e-mail and telephone is available.


West Parry Sound District Museum
The West Parry Sound District Museum is also closed until further notice.

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage everyone to play it safe and stay healthy.  Rather than be consumed with fear, I believe it is important to act responsibly and reasonably.  Hording is not really necessary as our supply lines are still very active.  Please remember to practice maintaining a safe distance from people, especially strangers, wash your hands often and go out only when necessary.
