Condolences to the Hilts Family
I would like to take this time to extend condolences to the family of Angus Hilts who passed away Sunday evening, September 4, 2022, at the age of 91. He was a retired principal employed by the former West Parry Sound Board of Education. He constructed several buildings including what is today, the offices of The Family Help Network on May Street in Parry Sound. He also founded The Whistle Stop. It was a place on Joseph Street for take-out ice cream. Mr. Hilts leaves behind Gene Hilts and his first wife, predeceased, Marion Hilts, father of Scott and the late Brenda Shaw, also grandchildren and siblings. Visitation is taking place on Wednesday evening, September 7, 2022 with funeral services to follow the next day at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Parry Sound. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time.
