Parry Sound Public Library Monthly Board Meeting
On Wednesday morning, June 14, 2023, I attended the Parry Sound Public Library Monthly Board Meeting in person.  We received, reviewed and approved our 2022 Audit.  Regarding the building, we remain hopeful for a grant from the Nothern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) to help with the cost of our HVAC replacement.  An HVAC unit supplier has been approved following a tender process.  The Treasurer’s Report for the following periods were received and approved, April 1 to April 30, 2023 and May 1 to May 31, 2023.  The CEO delivered her report.  Upcoming library programs were discussed.


Downtown Beautification Plan with Waterfront Advisory Committee
On Tuesday afternoon, June 20, 2023, I attended a meeting between the Down Business Association and members of the Waterfront Advisory Committee.  A beautification plan and vision were discussed incorporating more of the waterfront.  The DBA hired Patty Hayes of Page by Page Consulting to help create a new Action Plan.  The meeting was held to make a formal plan for beautification, events and activities at the waterfront.
