Councillor McCann Meeting Report (March 19, 2019)

Belvedere Heights Board of Management Committee Meetings
On Thursday March 14, 2019 I attended two committee meetings at Belvedere Heights.  The first was the Sustainable Core Business Committee Meeting.  Our ongoing strategic planning at this point is about approving one of three final proposals submitted to our CEO which covers “Operational Review and Financial Analysis of Belvedere Heights Home for the Aged”.  Moving forward to meet the demands of the aging baby boomer population we are examining every aspect of Belvedere Heights in so far as the services we offer, and defining what precisely is our game plan and how we might partner with other organizations in the area. With the uncertainty of the LHIN’s, establishing a complete budget and cash flow forecast is rather tricky at this point.  The board and CEO remain very positive as we explore our options and investigate any number of opportunities that may provide a win-win result in the end.

The second meeting was with the Human Resources Committee.
